Counselling

You may be experiencing a lack of direction which is impacting on your daily life, such as feelings of anger, anxiety, depression, loneliness, grief, a poor sense of self-worth or experiencing difficulties with a relationship.

Counselling can help and support you navigate these feelings. By speaking to a counsellor, you are able to explore your feelings and experiences, in a safe and non-judgemental space. There is no reason to feel embarrassed or ashamed of what you feel – a counsellor is there to offer support and guidance.

HearSay Trust offers subsidised counselling to address behavioural, emotional and mental health issues that affect individuals and families. We also offer counselling and support to people with a range of disabilities and those who support them.

About Us

HearSay Charitable Trust is a registered charity.

It was founded in 2004 by Dr Kitty Morgan-Jones. We provide a counselling service for the Maidstone and surrounding areas. Our counselling rooms are in Marsham Street, Maidstone, Kent.

HearSay Trust provides counselling and psychotherapy to support families, children, adolescents, and others who are affected by a range of mental health difficulties, behavioural and emotional problems, that can impact on a family, including support for issues arising from ADHD, autism and other long-term conditions and disabilities.

HearSay Trust is committed to equality for all. We will work to ensure that clients experience no form of discrimination or disadvantage in their dealings with the Trust. We will support adults, children, adolescents, and families to make realistic choices about how they can live their lives in ways that will satisfy them. We believe in responding proactively, in an effort to avoid a crisis.

Our Services

HearSay appreciates that the cost of private counselling can be inaccessible to some people, which can be frustrating to those experiencing difficulties.

The Trust therefore provides subsidised counselling, with additional concessionary rates for those in receipt of benefits.

Our fully qualified, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) registered counsellors typically provide 6-8 sessions of counselling to clients. Our philosophy is to respond to a client referral by contacting the client within 48 hours.

Equine Therapy

Equine Therapy

Hearsay is pleased to be able to offer Equine Therapy which is suitable for adults as well as children. The service is supported by a qualified Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL),practioner. EFL is a form of learning therapy that incorporates horses and ponies into mental health and well-being treatments.

By working through equine therapy, you can develop skills such as communication, self-control, problem solving and accountability, as well as improving your self-esteem, empathy, flexibility and independence.
